Smeaton Healthcare are recruiting an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our ever expanding team in our new Branch in Newton Abbot, Devon.
As a Recruitment Consultant, you will be responsible for the building of and development of the branches business hours and sales. You'll build positive relationships in order to gain a better understanding of your clients' recruitment needs and requirements.
Working as a recruitment consultant, you'll attract candidates by drafting advertising copy for use in a range of media, as well as by networking, headhunting and through referrals. You'll screen candidates, interview them, run background checks and finally match them to clients.
As a recruitment consultant, you're the vital link between clients and candidates. The role is demanding and diverse. It involves:
using sales, business development, marketing techniques and networking to attract business from client companies
building and increasing the branches hours in line with KPI's set by Business Manager
attending networking events in order to increase branches status and reputation
visiting clients to build and develop positive relationships
developing a good understanding of client companies, their industry, what they do, their work culture and environment
using social media to advertise positions, attract candidates and build relationships
headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work and equally identifying potential clients who may already use another agency
receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and creating a shortlist of candidates
ensuring all bookings are made and candidates are appropriately matched to clients
applying for candidate DBS, requesting references, completing all mandatory checks and checking the suitability of applicants before introducing them to clients
uploading all candidates onto Smeaton Healthcare’s bespoke candidate/client system and monitor its compliance
working towards and exceeding targets and KPI’s that may relate to the number of candidates placed, a value to be billed to clients or business leads generated
reviewing recruitment policies to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programmes
communicated with internal and external office staff at head office to ensure the branch is ran smoothly and effectively
take part in emergency out of hours on-call (spread across all branches)
Minimum of 12 months experienced in a fast-paced Recruitment Role
Demonstrated IT skills
Have great customer-service skills
Be approachable, friendly and passionate
Have a general knowledge of care
Have a UK Drivers License AND own vehicle
Be willing to work across Smeaton Healthcare branches (if required)
