Learning Disability
Our service is about making health and social care services better so that more people with a learning disability, autism or both can live in the community, with the right support, and close to home. Our priority is to ensure that individuals with learning disabilities enjoy the same right to a happy and fulfilled life as others. We ensure that individuals in our care feel safe in their environment, are understood and are able to communicate to the best of their ability.

Our highly-trained complex care team provide care and support with a holistic approach. We believe everyone is entitled to a dignified life, and that is why your support plan is tailored to you as an individual – there is no ‘one size fits all’ here at Smeaton. Care at Home
Finding the right option for care is a challenging task. A number of studies have shown that person-centered care at home has a greater positive impact on well-being, happiness and reduced hospital admissions than admission to a care home.
Care at Home offers flexibility and the ability for service users to be able to live safely and independently in the comfort of their own home. Smeaton Healthcare offer packages of care ranging from shorter 6 hour visits to 24 hour live-in care. Our Care at Home packages can be tailored to your specific needs and desires. As part of your care package, a dedicated member of our team will visit you to complete a no-obligation, free assessment to find out exactly what you want for your care and/or support.
Staffing Agency
Our Agency Support team undertake a vigorous recruitment process, and all are subject to an Enhanced DBS check before commencing work with us. Our team are trained to the highest abilities, but we understand Care is not a “one-size fits all” scenario – that’s why when you work with our team, we will identify any special requirements you may require and will enroll our team on the relevant training to support you.
We have an in-house Central Recruitment Team who are in place to ensure we have a high-influx of agency workers on board to support you in a time of need. Unlike many other Staffing Agencies, we are regulated by the Care Quality Commission in England. Therefore, you can rest assure knowing that we are working to the same, high standards as you. The Registered Manager of your local branch is at the end of the phone, should you require more information on our compliance.
